RESUME

Jessica began her musical journey at the age of seven, joining a children's choir in her hometown Trento, where she obtained her flute diploma at age eighteen. Continuing her studies in Italy, Jessica worked with teachers such as Giampaolo Pretto, Glauco Cambursano, János Bálint and participated in masterclasses with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Aurèle Nicolet, Emmanuel Pahud, and Jacques Zoon.

Her orchestral experience started in 1993 as a member of the Italian Youth Orchestra, where Jessica played under the batons of Luciano Berio, Gyorgy G. Rath and Daniele Gatti. Subsequent professional engagements have included principal flute positions with many prestigious Italian orchestras, such as the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Filarmonica Toscanini Parma (under L. Maazel), among others. 

Awarded with the “Prix de la Fondation Sorato” at the prestigious Genève Competition, she joined a Stage at “Academie de Villecroze” by official invitation of Emmanuel Pahud, with the prize winners of all the international flute Competitions 2001.

Jessica then expanded her professional experience internationally, serving as Assistant Principal Flute with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, and as Principal Flute with Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and Real Filarmonia de Sevilla in Spain. She later became Solo Flute with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra in Brazil, a position she held for nearly a decade. During this time, she performed in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls, including Musikverein in Vienna, Koelner Philharmonie, Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, Tonhalle in Zurich, Royal Albert Hall in London (BBC Proms 2012).

Now based back in Europe, Jessica enjoys a varied freelance career, frequently serving as Guest Principal Flute with distinguished orchestras such as the Camerata Salzburg, Ensemble Resonanz in Hamburg, Münchener Kammerorchester, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Konzerthaus Berlin, Tonhalle Zurich, Teatro La Fenice Venezia, to name a few.

          Very passionate chamber musician, she plays in duo with piano, harp, guitar as well as bigger formations.  Apart from appearing in many of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra's recordings during her years of service, she recorded “Il flauto notturno” by Riccardo Zandonai (Tactus), Le Carneval des Animaux for “Amadeus” music magazine,  “A Touch of Tango” with music for flute and guitar by R. Di Marino (Pizzicato)

In 2021, Jessica earned a Master’s degree in Traverso from Verona Conservatory, under the guidance of Marcello Gatti. She also holds a Performance Master's degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil (2011), where she completed a dissertation on the acoustic parameters of flute vibrato, which was later published by NEA Editions. Additionally, she graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Padua in 2004.

A dedicated teacher, Jessica has taught at the São Paulo State Orchestra Academy, with many of her students going on to pursue studies at prestigious universities and music academies, including the Academia Reina Sofía in Madrid (Prof. J. Zoon), the Folkwang Hochschule für Musik in Essen (Prof. G. Ott), the ZHDK in Zurich (Prof. P. Racine), DePaul University in Chicago (Prof. M. Sparks), and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse in Paris (Prof. S. Cherrier).

Since 2023, she is flute professor at the Bonporti Conservatory in Trento, where she was born.
